Mitsubishi TENSEI™ shafts featuring an orange band have historically signified a counterbalanced design. Within the MLAB fitting philosophy, this profile is engineered to influence club delivery through feel, start line, and impact location.

By concentrating additional weight and material in the handle section, the shaft promotes increased activity in the tip section, helping generate greater clubhead speed while improving clubface control at impact. The Orange profile typically produces a more neutral start line and a smoother overall feel, making it an excellent fit for players with a moderate swing tempo.

This next-generation TENSEI™ Pro Orange continues the counterbalanced heritage of previous Orange profiles while introducing the first smooth, counterbalanced bend profile in the series. Through advanced mandrel design and layup optimisation, Mitsubishi achieved an extreme counterbalance design by shifting material toward the butt section without relying on tungsten powder, as used in prior generations.

To further enhance stability, premium 1K Cloth has been repositioned closer to the tip section, while boron fiber reinforcement has again been incorporated to reduce torque and maximise stability through impact.

RIP+ Technology

Offered exclusively in our TENSEI PRO series shafts, Reverse Interlaminar Placement Plus (RIP+) enhances stability and minimizes torque utilising both boron in the tip and a proprietary carbon fiber that is five times thinner and lighter than conventional material. This ultra-thin 20FAW material technology - strategically positioned in the traditionally high-twist tip-section of the shaft - blends seamlessly with the other layers of the shaft, providing exceptional feel, precision, and pro-grade performance control in every swing.
