Impact feel in the Qi MAX HL is shaped through sound as much as structure. A new internal stability bar works alongside ECHO ® Damping material to support the face and topline, reducing unwanted vibration at impact. This pairing creates a quieter, more controlled sound that translates into a softer, more reassuring feel, even when contact drifts away from the centre.

Straight Distance

TaylorMade’s patented face technology manages face flexibility to reduce the cut spin that can appear in fast-faced iron designs. By controlling how the face responds through impact, the Qi MAX HL promotes straighter ball flights across the set. Distance remains consistent from shot to shot, helping golfers trust their carry numbers rather than chase occasional longer strikes.

Individual Head Optimisation

Each iron head is designed independently, with performance tuned to the role of that club in the set. Long irons prioritise launch and forgiveness, while mid and short irons are shaped to deliver more controlled flight and reliable distance gaps. This individual optimisation helps maintain a consistent trajectory and spacing throughout the bag.

Forgiving Shape

The Qi MAX HL uses an oversized head shape to inspire confidence and increase forgiveness. A taller face, wider sole, increased blade length, and additional offset all work together to make the club easier to launch and more stable through impact. Despite its size, the shaping remains clean and balanced, avoiding the exaggerated look often associated with super-forgiving irons.

Higher Launch and More Speed

The HL, or Higher and Lighter, configuration uses weaker lofts and a lighter overall build to help golfers generate more height and spin. This design supports players who struggle to get the ball airborne or who lose carry distance due to low launch. The higher peak trajectory helps maximise carry and improve stopping power into the greens.

Each club is crafted by a single master builder and finished to tour-level tolerances before being dispatched.
