The average round of golf burns between 900-1500 calories…
The equivalent of around 90 minutes of running for an 80kg individual.
Add that to the fact you could be spending up to 5 hours on the course and it makes sense that many struggle to finish a round strongly.
I’d bet that most poor finishes to good rounds are caused by fatigue for most amateur golfers.
We all know the drill…
…a quick bacon bap before we tee off…
And then a mars bar at the turn if we’re lucky.
It’s no wonder that we get to the 15th and find our drives starting to float off to the right in a weak puff of a slice.
